More curves thanks to Brazilian butt lift in Frankfurt am Main
A firm, tight bottom with sensual curves is considered by many to be the ideal of beauty and the epitome of femininity. Celebrity role models such as Kim Kardashian are responsible for this. In most cases, however, nature is not so generous when it comes to the distribution of curves, so you have to give your dream bottom a little help. Sport and special butt exercises can achieve a lot, but if there is a lack of volume, the possibilities are limited. However, this doesn’t mean that women and men have to write off their dream of a voluptuous bottom.
With buttock augmentation (Brazilian butt lift or BBL), the buttocks can be given the desired shape using the patient’s own fat, which is previously harvested and processed from other parts of the body. In contrast to the insertion of silicone implants, this method has the practical side effect that not only are the curves of the buttocks shaped according to your wishes, but you also get rid of excess fat pads in other areas through liposuction.
Dr. Nichlos is a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery and has performed many successful butt augmentation procedures. He will be happy to advise you personally in our practice in Frankfurt on the possibilities of fulfilling your desire for a sensual silhouette with natural curves in this way.

Introduction
What is a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)?
The Brazilian butt lift (BBL) has its origins in the land of Sugarloaf Mountain. Here, a voluptuous and rounded bottom has always been considered the ideal of beauty, as a glance at the dancers at the legendary carnival in Rio or the bikini beauties of the Copacabana shows.
In this procedure, also known in Germany as a buttock lift, the buttocks are enlarged and shaped using the patient’s own fat. The autologous fat is suctioned from the abdomen, hips, back or thighs, processed and then injected subcutaneously into the buttocks and sculpted. The great advantage of this treatment, also known as autologous fat grafting, is that it does not require any foreign material (implants) and a very natural look and feel can be achieved.
What are the reasons for a Brazilian butt lift?
There are various aesthetically motivated reasons for a BBL. As a rule, our patients are dissatisfied with the shape of their buttocks and would like a curvier silhouette and a little more volume in the buttocks area because their buttocks appear too flat or saggy (either naturally or due to age, pregnancy or weight loss).
Surgical buttock augmentation and buttock shaping can harmonize the body shape very well and, for example, redistribute volume from problem areas such as the abdomen or hips to the desired areas. Ideally, two problems can be solved in one go.
How does a Brazilian Butt Lift work?
A Brazilian butt lift is a similar treatment method to breast augmentation with autologous fat, except that the aim here is to increase the volume of the buttocks rather than the breasts. In a butt lift, fatty tissue is taken from other areas of the body (usually the abdomen, hips or thighs), medically processed and then injected into the buttocks and individually sculpted.

Preparation
What happens before a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian butt lift may correspond to your personal ideal, but regardless of this – like any augmentation or reduction of individual areas of the body – it should always be well considered and planned in an aesthetically sensible way.
A personal consultation with a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery like Dr. Nichlos is essential. With his expertise, he will analyze your body shape and advise you on whether a BBL is a suitable treatment to implement the changes you desire.
If this is the case and you meet the requirements for the operation, Dr. Nichlos will explain the procedure to you and what you need to pay attention to beforehand and during aftercare. He will determine the donor areas from which fat will be harvested and explain the possible risks of the operation and anesthesia (general anesthesia). He will also show you what results you can realistically expect.
During the consultation, he will also discuss the expected costs of a Brazilian butt lift and will be happy to provide you with a detailed cost estimate.
Procedure
How does a Brazilian Butt Lift work?
A BBL is always performed under general anesthesia and is performed on an inpatient basis with a short hospital stay. On the day of treatment, you will come to the Berger Klinik, where Dr. Nichlos and his team will prepare you for the procedure in the modern operating rooms.
As soon as the areas to be treated have been marked and the anesthetic has taken effect, the first step is liposuction. The required amount of fat is gently suctioned out of the previously agreed areas. The removed fat is filtered and purified so that only intact fat cells are used. As some of the fatty tissue is broken down by the body after the injection, this must be taken into account beforehand and a larger amount removed.
The harvested fat cells are then injected into the subcutaneous fatty tissue (not the gluteal muscles!) using fine cannulas to give the buttocks more volume and a harmonious shape. The latter is achieved through precise modeling of the injected autologous fat.

Aftercare
What happens after the butt lift?
After the operation, you can recover under inpatient care. If Dr. Nichlos gives you the green light after the check-up on the following day, you can go home. Here you should take it easy for a few days and sit or lie on your back as little as possible so as not to impair the results of the liposuction. Instead, sleep on your stomach or side.
Please wear the special compression garment recommended by Dr. Nichlos for 4-6 weeks after the operation. It supports the healing process and stabilizes the result.
You will receive further information on optimal aftercare before and after the procedure and during the check-ups in our practice in Frankfurt, which you should definitely attend. Depending on how much fatty tissue has been broken down by the body, follow-up treatment may be necessary.
Risks
What are the risks associated with a Brazilian butt lift?
Buttock augmentation requires very good anatomical knowledge, a great deal of sensitivity and experience on the part of the treating doctor, as there are a number of risks associated with injecting the patient’s own fat. These range from irregular results (asymmetries or unsightly dimples) to infections and even fat embolism, which is well known from many media reports.
The latter complication can occur in particular with the classic surgical technique, in which the fat is injected into the gluteal muscle, which is well supplied with blood. Theoretically, there is a risk of fat entering the bloodstream and causing a life-threatening embolism.
However, this risk can be significantly reduced by injecting the fatty tissue above the muscle. The prerequisite for a low-risk treatment is professional execution by an experienced specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery such as Dr. Nichlos.
Swelling, bruising or numbness are relatively common and can be classified as normal reactions that occur after the procedure on the buttocks, but usually subside within the next few days and weeks. You can support the healing process with good aftercare.

More InformationFrequently asked questions about the
Brazilian Butt Lift:
- Who is a Brazilian Butt Lift suitable for?
A buttock augmentation with autologous fat is suitable for people who want a more natural alternative to implants and have sufficient autologous fat. The procedure is not suitable for people who are very overweight or have certain pre-existing conditions.
- How exactly does the BBL procedure work?
First, fat is harvested from suitable areas of the body (e.g. abdomen, hips), processed and then injected into the buttocks in several layers. The aim is to achieve a harmonious, natural buttock shape.
- What do I need to consider before the procedure?
Before the BBL, you should refrain from taking blood-thinning medication, not smoke and be in a stable state of health. You will receive detailed information during your personal consultation with Dr. Nichlos.
- Does the Brazilian Butt Lift leave visible scars?
There are only minimal scars at the fat removal sites. The injection into the buttocks is carried out using fine cannulas that leave only tiny puncture marks.
- Is the result of a BBL immediately visible?
A difference in volume is already visible immediately after the procedure. The result may still be distorted at first due to swelling. The final result will be visible after approx. 3-6 months.
- How much of the injected fat is permanently retained?
On average, around 60-70% of the transplanted fat remains permanently in the buttocks. The healing rate varies from person to person and depends, among other things, on aftercare and general lifestyle.
- When can I sit again after a BBL?
You should avoid sitting directly on the buttocks for the first 2 weeks after the procedure. After that, a special BBL cushion helps to protect the result and avoid pressure points.
- When can I do sports again after a butt augmentation?
Light exercise such as walking is possible after a few days. You should resume sporting activities slowly after 6-8 weeks at the earliest – in consultation with Dr. Nichlos.
- Is a BBL painful?
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. After the operation, there is usually slight pain or a feeling of tension, which can be easily treated with painkillers.
- Are there any risks with the Brazilian Butt Lift?
Like any surgical procedure, a BBL is also associated with risks, e.g. bruising, infections or asymmetries. However, the risk of complications is low if all medical instructions are followed.
- How long do the results of a Brazilian Butt Lift last?
The result is permanent as long as you maintain your weight and lead a healthy lifestyle. Weight fluctuations and the ageing process can change the shape of your bottom in the long term.
- How much does a Brazilian Butt Lift cost in Frankfurt?
The costs start from 7,000 euros, plus anesthesia, hospital stay, compression garments and 1-2 overnight stays if necessary. Dr. Nichlos will inform you of the exact costs during your consultation.
