Wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid in Frankfurt: For a smooth and radiant face!
Small wrinkles and fine lines are often the first signs of skin ageing and often make the face look older and more tired than it actually is. With targeted injections of hyaluronic acid, wrinkles can be plumped up from the inside out and the skin’s appearance smoothed out again.
Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our bodies and is able to bind large amounts of water. We make use of this property during wrinkle injections in Frankfurt to give you a young and fresh appearance that makes you feel good again.
Arrange a non-binding consultation with Dr. Nichlos now. In a relaxed atmosphere, the experienced specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery will be happy to explain to you which procedures are available for injections or whether other treatment methods are more suitable for you.

Introduction
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a transparent, gel-like substance found in the human body. Chemically speaking, it is a multi-chain polysaccharide, a chain of sugar molecules. It is found in connective tissue, synovial fluid and the eye. One of its most important properties is the binding of water, which has a plumping effect and thus provides volume. It also gives the skin suppleness and elasticity.
However, the body’s hyaluronic acid content decreases with age, causing the skin to lose volume and elasticity. As a result, the skin sags and fine lines and wrinkles appear. Injecting hyaluronic acid into the face (e.g. forehead or nose) can counteract the formation of wrinkles and give the skin new elasticity. However, the volume gained through hyaluronic acid treatment can be used for more than just correcting wrinkles.
Areas of application
What areas of application are there for hyaluronic acid?
The special properties of hyaluronic acid can be used for various medical applications. The best known is facial wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid. Here, hyaluronic acid is used to plump up age-related sagging skin and reduce wrinkles. Typical treatment areas are the face (especially marionette and nasolabial folds), neck and décolleté, but the procedure can also be used for hand rejuvenation.
Hyaluronic acid can also be used to sculpt individual areas of the face. Hyaluronic acid is therefore used, among other things, to give lips or sunken cheeks more volume, to contour the jawline (jawline), to perform minor nose corrections or to reduce dark circles under the eyes.
Preparation
What happens before wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid?
Regardless of whether you want a wrinkle treatment on your forehead, eyes, cheeks or lips – a personal consultation with Dr. Nichlos, a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery, always takes place before every treatment in our practice in Frankfurt.
Tell him about your wishes and let him advise you whether a wrinkle injection with hyaluronic acid is suitable for you. He will create an individual concept for the treatment of your wrinkles, explain the treatment procedure and what you should pay attention to before and after.
During the consultation, Dr. Nichlos will also inform you about the possible risks of wrinkle injections and will of course be available after the initial consultation to answer any questions you may have about hyaluronic acid and its use as a filler.

Procedure
How does the hyaluronic acid treatment work?
Wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid are carried out on an outpatient basis in our practice in Frankfurt. First, the treatment area is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by us, then anaesthetized using an anaesthetic cream. Although Dr. Nichlos uses very fine needles for wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid, which are barely noticeable, everyone feels pain differently and we want to make the treatment as pleasant as possible for you.
As soon as the numbing cream takes effect, Dr. Nichlos injects the hyaluronic acid into the relevant areas. Here, the hyaluronic acid is distributed in the tissue. If necessary, he performs a so-called fine sculpting after the wrinkle injection to achieve the desired shape. The treatment only takes around 10-30 minutes.
You do not have to plan any downtime after wrinkle injections, but please note our instructions and tips on the correct behavior after the treatment.

Aftercare
Hyaluron Frankfurt: What happens after the treatment?
It takes a short time for the specifically injected hyaluronic acid to be distributed in the tissue as desired. Therefore, do not apply any pressure to the treated areas for the first 1-2 days (not even a gentle massage!). Allow yourself some rest during this time and take it easy. In other words, avoid physical exertion and intensive sporting activities after wrinkle treatment. Protect your skin from direct sunlight and heat after the hyaluronic acid treatment and avoid going to the solarium or sauna.
Risks
What are the risks associated with hyaluronic acid treatment?
As the body’s own substance and a natural component of connective tissue, hyaluronic acid is well tolerated and treatment with hyaluronic acid is also associated with few other risks. As a reaction to the injection, slight redness, minor bruising or swelling may occur at the injection sites. There is a possibility that the treatment area may be very sensitive to pressure. However, these side effects of the treatment are only temporary and usually subside on their own within a few days.

More InformationFrequently asked questions
about hyaluronic acid treatment:
- What is the difference between hyaluronic acid filler and Botox?
Both hyaluronic acid and Botox are used to treat wrinkles and the two procedures are very similar in their process, but they work in different ways and are therefore suitable for treating different wrinkles.
Hyaluron is a classic filler. Thanks to its moisture-binding properties, it plumps up the tissue and thus gives the skin more volume, smoothing out wrinkles. This type of wrinkle treatment is particularly suitable for wrinkles caused by age-related sagging of the skin, such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines or wrinkles on the chin.
Botox, on the other hand, is a muscle relaxant that inhibits the transmission of signals between nerves and muscles, causing them to relax and smoothing out wrinkles. This applies to so-called expression lines caused by excessive muscle activity, such as wrinkles around the eyes or on the temples, forehead wrinkles, frown lines or lip wrinkles.
Depending on the type and depth of the wrinkles, a combination of hyaluronic acid filler and Botox can also be useful as a wrinkle treatment. Let an experienced doctor and specialist such as Dr. Nichlos advise you on which method of wrinkle injection is best suited to make your desire for a younger appearance a reality.
- Which wrinkles can be treated with hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is particularly suitable for static wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines or wrinkles on the chin. It is also frequently used for lip sculpting or to increase volume in the cheek area.
- When will I see the results of a hyaluronic acid treatment?
An initial effect is usually visible immediately after treatment. The final result is visible after around 10 to 14 days, when any swelling has subsided and the hyaluronic acid is completely bound.
- How long do the results of a hyaluronic acid treatment last?
The shelf life is usually 6 to 18 months. Factors such as metabolism, treatment area and the preparation used influence the duration. Regular refreshing can help to maintain the result in the long term.
- Can I have an allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid?
Allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid are extremely rare as it is an endogenous substance. Only high-quality, clinically tested preparations are used in Dr. Nichlos’ practice.
- Is treatment with hyaluronic acid painful?
The treatment is generally well tolerated. Most hyaluronic preparations contain a mild anesthetic; a local anesthetic cream can also be applied.
- Is there any downtime after the treatment?
As a rule, you can return to social life immediately. Slight redness or swelling may occur, but this usually subsides within a few hours to days.
- What should I bear in mind after the hyaluronic acid treatment?
Avoid intense heat (e.g. sauna, solarium), intense physical exertion and facial massages for the first 24 hours. This will support optimal healing and an even result.
- How often can the treatment be repeated?
A repeat treatment is possible at any time as soon as the results begin to fade – usually after 6 to 12 months. A permanent rejuvenation effect can be achieved with regular touch-ups.
- When does a combination with Botox make sense?
If there is both volume loss and wrinkles caused by facial expressions, a combined treatment with hyaluronic acid and Botox may be recommended. Dr. Nichlos will advise you individually on this in his practice.
- Why is treatment by an experienced doctor important?
Precise placement of the filler is crucial for a natural result. Rely on the experience and specialization of Dr. Nichlos for reliable results with aesthetic appeal.
- How much does a hyaluronic acid treatment cost in Frankfurt?
The cost of a hyaluronic acid treatment in Frankfurt starts from 350 euros per 1 ml. The final price depends on the desired treatment area, the individual initial situation and the required volume. In a personal consultation, Dr. Nichlos will provide you with transparent information about all the costs involved and, if necessary, draw up an individual cost plan.
